Community colleges across the region are giving their commitment to advance agriculture in the future.

Nine different community colleges across the region signed a memorandum Monday, Sept. 21, in a partnership to share resources, faculty expertise, curriculum and tools.

The partnership will support hands-on student learning, develop future conservation-minded farmers and ranchers, and encourage more students to pursue agriculture careers.

“We look forward to future with stronger collaboration and partnerships, it’s such a big job and we can do more together than we could ever do individually,” said U.S. Department of Agriculture Natural Resource Conservation Service’s Acting Chief Kevin Norton.
